Hi All - I posted some stats before and received some very helpful feedback, obviously, in that I have continued my search. Thoughts on the specific diamond below - would love to see if I am moving in a better direct. Thx - PD

Round Brilliant
Measurements: 7.68 - 7.74 x 4.86 mm
Carat Weight: 1.78
Color Grade: F
Clarity Grade: SI1
Cut Grade: Very Good

Proportions:
Depth: 63.0 %
Table: 58 %
Crown Angle: 35.5°
Crown Height: 15 %
Pavilion Angle: 41.8°
Pavilion Depth: 44.5 %
Star length: 55 %
Lower Half: 80 %
Girdle: Thin to Slightly Thick, Faceted
Culet: None
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Very Good
Fluorescence: None

Keep looking, it''s HCA score is pretty bad. 5.1...

Stick within these parameters:

depth - 60 - 62% - although you can allow up to 62.4%
table - 54- 57%
crown angle - 34- 35 degrees
pavilion angle - 40.6- 41 degrees
girdle - avoid extremes, look for thin to slightly thick, thin to medium etc
polish and symmetry - very good and above

note - with crown and pavilion angles at the shallower ends ( CA 34- PA 40.6) and steeper ( CA 35- PA 41) check to make sure these angles complement in that particular diamond - eyeballs, Idealscope, trusted vendor input - check as appropriate!

Ditto, these numbers have helped many find a well cut stone. I would pass on the diamond you posted, not a good combo.
