Hi

I am researching my engagement ring and I would like a radiant centre stone. The one I am about to go for is
Colour D
Clarity VS1
Polish VG
Symetry VG

but under comments it notes: additional clouds are not shown.

Also in the reference diagram the cloud which is highlighted appears to be in the centre.

I am worried this will effect the quality of the stone. It is costing $8255, I can''t afford to go above this budge and I do not want to go for any less then a D color diamond. I am unable to view the stone prior to purchasing. This is a big decision for me and I would appreciate any help.

The comment concerning additional clouds shouldn't be an issue especially in VS1 clarity. Can you get any photos or other images from the vendor? Its a gamble with radiants just going by numbers. Which vendor has it?

i requested a photo but the vendor said no. I am dealing with MDC diamonds (David Cohen)

I would prefer not to go with a fancy cut without any images.

He is pretty definite that they do not take pictures of the diamonds

the depth is 67.6%
table 69%
cutlet none
Fluorescence none
dimensions 7.49 x 5.47 x 3.7
girdle medium to thick

The problem is without images, it is a guessing game as to how well the diamond is cut and therefore how beautiful. Radiants are extremely difficult to judge without images unfortunately, in fact it isn't possible to judge them without. Does this vendor have a return policy, or could he arrange to have the diamond sent to an appraiser in your area so you can inspect it there? The table is a bit larger than the depth, usually the reverse is preferred although this in itself needn't be a dealbreaker. Apart from that there isn't much we can tell you unfortunately.
