diamond sparkle

I have a 1.02 brilliant ideal cut solitare vs1 f in color
this is really my first diamond ( sad ) so I am not real sure what to expect as far as brillance,fire,sprakle and color. I have been doing some
research on the net and there is sooo much info I am getting dizzy.
Do diamonds that have no flourescence show less of the "rainbow" sparkle
than ones w/flourescence? what should I see when out in the sun or office
of home lighting?

Never heard of any impact of fluorescence on fire ! Some say that blue fluorescence makes these sparkles more blue when fluorescence is in action, but this is a very subtle effect - as anything about fluorescence, I supose.

We can't really tell you what to expect. Each diamond has it's own personality. Sounds like you went with a great cut so I'll warn you,....... Do not stare at your diamond while driving a car!! Watching the sparklies of you new diamond may lead to a car wreck!!

Outside on a cloudy or hazy day, your diamond should look very very white (brilliance) with some fire, depending on the cloud cover. In bright, direct sunlight, it will look quite darkish, but with lots of fire. In Home Depot type white spot lighting, you should literally not be able to take your eyes off the stone, since the white and firey sparkle will be out of sight. At home, in regular incandescent lighting, should look white to very white, with occasional fire. Bathroom type lighting is usually great for white light as well as a fire show. Cars are usually not great, since you get the direct sunlight as well as the dark window tint (will be fire
