I am considering a solitate type setting with channel set rounds on the sides. I prefer the look of a low-set prong/diamond (close to the ring), when it''s too high up it just looks funny to me. An example is the Vatche X prong, I love the overall design, but it just looks like it''s sitting to high up from the ring/band.
So my question is, does the height of the diamond, or more accurately, the fact that there is space/light under the diamond, make it look any better than one that is set close to the ring ?
