We would need the cost of each to know if it is a good deal.

They all look good. So I''d choose number 3 because it is a nice size and larger than the others.

I like everything about number 4. My diamonds numbers are very close to the same, and it''s a very bright, fiery diamond. Also, that''s a nice color/clarity combo.

ds, 3 is facing up smaller than it should.

#4 is the only one that scores less than 2.0 on the HCA, so that is why it would be my choice.

Thanks to you all, I ran HCA on all of them, and also found #4 is under 2.0, don''t know why, the first 3 are above 2.0. The prices have 2k differences.

They''re all isee2 stone, and ideal cut, why the first 3 got HCA above 2?

The HCA tells you when the crown and pavillion angles are comlimentary.

The reason the other 3 went above 2, is because the crown angle was too high for the pavillion angle (plus, you really don''t want to go past 41.2). If you play with the numbers a bit, you''ll see what I mean.

Anyway, #4 could be a real looker!

Ellen, it''s really not off by much. The ISEE2 1.37 diamond I looked at was 7.2mm, so this one is close. I do like number 4, too, though. The 56 table, 61 depth is what I prefer, and 3 have that!

Arrwyn, are these diamonds all at the same place? Can someone look at them for you?

Ellen, it''s really not off by much.
True, to a point.....but then again, I''d not want to settle for "not off by much" if I could have "spot on".

Granted, it''s more of a mental note than a perceptible visual difference, but as you know from your mental "can''t be lower than VS" fixation, sometimes it''s just as important to satisfy the mind as it is the eye, right?

Thanks Ellen and diamondseeker2006, I found them on GOG, sent email to Tim, and he told me all of them are nice stones, I really don''t know which one I should choose. I like #3 too, but after running HCA, found out the score is above 2.0, feel concerned.

Are you able to see these stones in person? Seriously, we can choose by numbers but all of these are nice, and I think someone needs to compare them visually. (No, there is no problem with medium blue florescence, some people look for it.)

If you''re liking 3 because it''s bigger, it''s not by much visually. If you put them side by side, you might see a difference, but by itself, 4 will have the "look" of 3.

Not necessarily bad . . . just something to consider
WE just bought one with strong blue and it is something you should see in sunlight and decide if you like it or not

I can''t see them in person, that''s why I''d like to know other''s opinions, it''s a pure internet shopping.

The HCA favors certain diamonds, but that is based on opinion. I just wouldn''t let that make my decision unless the stone scored a 3 or 4 or more on it. Here''s more to read on the HCA (pros and cons):

http://www.goodoldgold.com/Technologies/AConsumersGuidetotheHCA/

And I just looked at that 1.36 E stone, and it is gorgeous! I was originally looking in the 1.3 to 1.49 category, and I know how hard stones are to find in that size range. If this was a virtual stone with no photos or idealscope, this would be different. But what I see online looks great, and I have confidence that the stone wouldn''t have been chosen for the inventory had it not passed Jonathan''s inspection. I don''t mean to push this stone since they are all nice, but it sounds like you were interested in it.

Thank you diamondseeker2006. I read that article too, but after saw so many people put their stones''s number ( I mean HCA), almost all are under 2.0, began to feel concerned. I''m totally new to diamond, found out PS during xmas, learned so many things from here, also people here are very nice and knowledgable, I really want to get some advice to make decision.
Also thank Ellen for you providing your diamond''s spec, helpful.

Whiteflash''s "A Cut Above" is supposed to be the best !!!
I got a 1.24 from their Expert Selection, which is one step down from the ACA and it is stunning so I can only imagine how nice the ACA will be . . .

If your max budget is $12,000, you can call WF and ask them if they can get you a larger diamond since all the ones I listed are below 1.3ct but all cost under $10000 . . . so for an extra 2000, they might be able to get you a larger diamond.
