Hi,

I posted this same question at a different forum, thought I''d try here too . . .
I just had a ring made. I bought the diamond loose it''s a 1.28 carat round brilliant GIA certified with the following on the certificate . . .

MEASUREMENTS: 6.98 - 7.01 x 4.29 mm
DEPTH: 61.3% depth
TABLE: 58% table
GIRDLE: thin to slightly thick, faceted
CULET: none
POLISH: good
SYMMETRY: very good
SI1/ J
Fluorescence: faint

Bought the whole thing in a platinum solitaire setting for $4,350. Is that a good price? And would you consider that to be an ideal cut diamond?

Thanks!

I checked out the price stats, and that seems to be a good price for that diamond and setting. I think that the table might be a lilttle bit too large to be considered Ideal, but it is still probably a really nice diamond. In order to really judge the cut of the diamond, you'd need to give us the crown and pavillion angles for the diamond.
