Diamond Price (Is it right?) Please Help

I need someone to help me,

They are selling me a Lazare Kaplan ideal cut diamond with the next characteristics:

Carat: 0.8
Color: I
Clarity: SI1

Price: 4500 USD

Do you think it is a right price??? Please help me I don´t want to do a mistake and spend so much and not have a good diamond.

Sorry, but if you use the price your diamond feature above, you'll see that this stone is WAY overpriced. But that's not unusual with "branded" stones from Brick and Mortar stores. Not that there's anything wrong with buying from a store, but there is IMHO, if you're paying about double what you could get online.

Lazare diamond can be quite nice. So can many other non-branded diamonds. Plus, you don't have all the information you need to know if this stone is a top performer. You need an ideal scope image. You need to know the crown and pavilion angles/percentages. You need table and depth. Have you seen the stone in person. SI1's can be eye clean and in some cases you can see visible inclusions.

Take some more time and read the tutorials on this site and learn as much as you can. You'll quickly learn you can spend less and do better.

I would not spend that much on an I SI1 0.80 diamond.

If I had $4500 to spend, I''d get something like this:

0.90 I VS2 H&A

Or I''d up the color and clarity:

0.80 D VS2 H&A

Or I''d get a similar stone and pocket the difference:

0.783 I SI1 ACA

Or I''d up the quality AND save money:

0.81 G VS2 H&A

P.S. You can get a nice, big, honking 1.05 I SI1 A Cut Above stone for about $5000 with the PS discount.
