Diamond price increases

Rough price increases are starting to trickle down.

Rounds:

1.5 - 5.9 ct polished goods up 1 - 3%. Small price increases even in melee / quarter carat.

As for brand names, I was told by a sales person a couple of weeks ago that Hearts on Fire just increased their stones by 10%, and Lazare Kaplan by 5%. Could this be true?

Oh more great news--and have you tried to find a really well cut, 3 carat +, J, Sl1, out there---things have really dried up. More expensive and less choice in certain parameters, BOOHOO!!!! What''s a girl to do for her 20th anniversary????

yes i did - about a month ago for my mom! not an easy task... she ended up getting a 2.8 J SI1 but what a Beauty!! many thanks to Mark
