Diamond Mesurements Can you tell the difference in size

I am thinking of upgrading my princess diamond that measures 7.3mm to one that measures approx 8mm. Do you think that size difference would be noticieable? It''s only about a 1/2 carat upgrade.

it is a 2ct stone and you say it is only a 0.5c upgrade... WOW!

I recently placed two ideal-cut 1ct stones side-by-side. One was 6.41-6.44mm and the other 6.46-6.51mm. Believe it or not, I could easily see the size difference when viewed at 6-12 inches. But I am a scientist with sharp eyes for detail.

I think that you would see a difference of 0.7mm though and would notice it during everyday wear.

I too believe you will see a size diff
I originally had a princess stone and decided to change to an RB. The princess was 7.76x7.77 and my RB was 8.22x8.24 and I could definitely tell the diff. In fact, I recently upgraded my RB for a larger one and the size diff was only 0.5mm and even then I could tell there was a size diff and that the new stone was bigger.
