Hi lauralu,

I wonder if you are referring to the bezel facets. The diagram on top shows the crown facets, the facet labled b is the bezel. If you follow those all the way around, they look kind of like a star. Is that what you mean?

Ellen thank you for your reply....they are either the bezel facets or the star facets, or both I think. My next question would be. Is this something you see when you look at the diamond? is it because it is a SI2 and seeing it is part of the inclusions?

You''re welcome.

You can always see these facets if you actually look for them. You may notice them more in diffused lighting. At a glance not so much, usually it''s just sparkles.

And it doesn''t have anything to do with clarity, it has to do with the cut. All round diamonds have these facets.

HTH!

getting this small enough too post made it hard too read...

ah ha.......Now I understand. Looking at the magnified pic I was thrown thinking this was a clarity issue. thank you

An si2 crystal on the table there is going too hard too hide... it might be eyecleanish but unless the crystal is really white eyeclean is doubtful.

Oh thank you strmrdr. I can read it well..that helps a great deal
