Hi All-

I am new to the internet diamond world and this site has been extremely helpful. Thanks everyone in advance.. I was looking for some feedback on what questions I should ask when finalizing a purchase online, based on what I have read here, I should be requesting an Ideal Scope, and also a check to make sure diamond is eye clean? Then get my own appraisel when I receive. Anything other points I should be thinking about? I have been looking at the diamond below amongst others in the same size, color, cut etc.., based on criteria I have read it looks decent to me; I ran the HCA and it can back excellent across the board. Lastly I am going to purchase the setting at the same time, do I need to be concerned with the difference in color, clarity between diamond and diamonds in the setting? I assume they don''t have to match exact, but I don''t want it noticable either (any rule of thumb here?). Thanks so much!!!

Numbers look good to me. At VVS2, you don't need to ask for eye-clean unless you have superman vision, do you?

Setting stones, color difference of up to 2 grades are acceptable. Clarity wise, as long as the stone are eye-clean, should not be a problem, so inspect the stones in the setting carefully when you get it, but VS2/SI1 should be quite safe.

Hi cavalier,

The diamond looks good, as SC says within 2 colour grades for centre and side stones is usual so no worries there.
