Here are the details listed. I am just confused because thu claim the elg certificate's value listed is substantially more than the ring is for sale. Is this just a sales tactic?

Platinum; 1 Diamond Round Brilliant Cut - 0.92ct (6.10mm x 6.09mm x 4.08mm) 2 Diamonds Round Brilliant Cut - 0.94ct Total Weight; Clarity: Center Stone - SI1; Side Stones - VS1/VS2; Color:F-G; Ring Size 5 (1 INCH = 25mm) Marked/Tested: EREV, PLAT; Weight: 4.5g; Excellent Condition !!! REPORT US 53016601D, July 31, 2009; Weight: 0.92ct; Shape and cut: Round Brilliant; Measurements: 6.10 - 6.09 x 4.08mm; Proportions: Depth: 66.9%; Table: 59%; Girdle: Medium to Sl. Thick Faceted; Finish: Polish: Good; Symmetry: Good; Clarity Grade: SI1; Color Grade: F-G

I'm curious what would you value this ring at?

Thanks soo much for anyone who helps I'm beginning to get overwhelmed with picking a ring out.

yes the value on the EGL certificate is basically worthless. also I would read up on EGL-they are known to grade 'loose' so it seems like you are getting a deal compared to GIA or AGS grades.

Depth: 66.9%???? Yikes! Could you make this diamond any deeper?

I can't help you, but I love your user name.

No, the depth should be about 62% or under. That depth and thick girdle will made the stone face up much smaller than its weight.
