Hi everyone! I''ve been reading on here for a while and have learned a lot, although it is all still kind of confusing. I''m hoping you can give me your thoughts on this diamond. I am upgrading (11 years) from a 1/4 carat to a little over a 1 carat and I am super excited. I''m not looking for the best diamond money can buy because I really want as big of a diamond as I can get. I am however looking for a high quality diamond that will still perform (fire, scintillation, brilliance) great. I definetly want better than your average diamond. You can let me know if I am sacrificing too much on quality for size. I am buying from Whiteflash and they brought this diamond in from an outside vendor. They are recommending it, but I thought it wouldn''t hurt to ask your opinioin as well. THANKS!!

1.16 carat
H color
SI1 (confirmed eye-clean by whiteflash)
cut grade excellent GIA
fluorescence faint
cutlet very small
table 58%
depth 59.7%
crown angle 32.5
pavillion angle 41.0
HCA score .8 EX EX EX EX

Idealscope and ASET images to follow as soon as I figure out to load them.

Almost forgot:

This is at 40x magnification and verified eye-clean. For some reason I can''t get the idealscope image to load (I''m technologically challenged, but I''ll keep trying.)

Looks good. Good luck. :)

Should have great spread, and the images look nice. I could be wrong, but I believe the relatively flat crown angle and large table will mean that the diamond could be lacking in the fire department. Conversely it may be a more brilliant (as in reflection of white light) stone. A question for the experts: could this be a BIC?

Here you go J, you are right BIC have CA < 32.5 and HCA should be <2

Needbling the diamond looks good, the optical symmetry isn't the best but it could be a great looking diamond.

Thanks for the advice and the above link on diamond cutting. I definetly want my diamond to have fire. I love all of the colors diamonds put off. I think I''ll probably go for it with this one and I can always return it if I''m not happy with it. If anyone else has opinions please share.
