Hello All! I desperately need help in making a decision on two diamonds. Diamond one (1.31 GIA) is said to have a tiny inclusion on the table, but is completely eyeclean. You can see this in the idealscope image, but diamond two (1.52 AGS), due to twinning wisps, is said to be eyeclean, but may have a tiny bit of haziness that can be seen with a trained eye, but probabaly not with an average consumer. The gemologist has also told me that both diamonds are very bright, but she prefers the 1.31 because of a slight haziness with the 1.52.

With that being said, I really need help knowing which could potentially be a better option/better performer. Diamond one has a bit less red, but the black is very vivid, whereas diamond 2's idealscope is very red, but the arrows are not as robust. Does the darker red on diamond two mean anything? Is it due to the above said haziness? My eye always loves the fire of a diamond, can this be gauged with the images and measurements?

I definately prefer the size of the 1.52, but not sure if I should take the risk...thank you for your help! :?

I feel they'll both be great performers, but to say one is better than the other at this point... who knows? Is this from JA? That's what I like about them... they seem very honest in their interpretations (i.e. if they wanted $$ from you I'm sure they would have been pushing the larger stone - assuming that one is more expensive).

For some reason, a number of their AGS stones the arrows seem alot skinnier vs. GIA XXXs that they offer, that's one reason why I went with one of their XXX over an AGS 000. The redness in your IS images maybe be from a number of things (exposure, lighting changes) so I don't think** you can necessarily attribute it to the stone.

The angles on both are very comparable, but I like the depth a little more on stone one. They probably behave very differently, but it appears we may be splitting hairs at this point. If both are the same $$, then I'd go for the larger of the two stones even with that TW. It may not even affect your perception of anything. The GG from JA said there's a slight haziness, but that's because she's a GG - their advice on the average person not seeing it may be right!

Go with your heart, dude, that way you'll never regret your decision! Fortunately for you, they have a great return policy... so you can check it out for 60 days (if JA).

BTW, when I see that AGS I think of this for some reason. http://www.goodoldgold.com/4Cs/NewCutGrading/Painting/

I'm probably wrong, though...
