Hey everyone! I just discovered this site a few weeks ago and it's the best. I am currently in the market for an engagement ring for my girlfriend. I have already talked to Victor Canera and he will be doing the setting for me. Now I just have to find a diamond. I am looking for a 2-2.5 ct diamond either G,H, or even I if it has some fluorescence to offset any possible yellow. I noticed the attached diamond on James Allen this morning. I see some feathers in the picture at 20x magnification. I was wondering if I could get some people's perspectives on this diamond. It's an SI2 so do you think these inclusions will be very noticeable to the naked eye? Any help would be greatly appreciated or even other diamond suggestions. Thanks in advance!

I am guessing that the inclusions are probably eye-visible... but that's because I ran a PS diamond search for 2.4ct -2.6ct H-SI2 AGS comparables and this JA stone was the very lowest priced by several thousands (the next lowest was $22K) - at this carat weight and cut quality, I can't think of another reason why the stone would be priced so low except that the inclusions must be visible. BUT it might worth your while to check into it further, especially if you find two other stones at JA that you're interested in and include this stone in your request for 3 ASETS. Generally speaking though, there are no deals in diamonds and they are generally priced according to their true market value.

Thanks for the help Marymm. I am going to continue looking because I noticed the price differential too. Thanks again!
