Cant wait to see the diamond I ordered from GOG. Pictures and Video''s looked great but I cant wait to see it up close.

Still on a search for a setting though..

What type of setting are you looking for?

Currently looking for something very similar to Ritani Classic, if not the classic itself. I contacted Pearlman''s and so far they seem to have the best price from what i''ve seen. Julian is the person that I''ve been switching e-mails with..

So the Diamond came in and man does it sparkle. When its outside, it sparkles like crazy. I dont have a camera on me to take pictures right now but when I get a chance, I''ll post some up.

Also for Appraisals. am I suppose to go get one done? GOG sent me a packet of stuff but besides all that, do I need to go on my own and get it done for the diamond.

Thanks!

You will need something for insurance purposes. Some insurance companies will accept the bill of sale, others want an appraisal. Whether you get one or not is up to you. It is good to have any doesn''t cost too much, and it means if you make a claim you have a strong case to back up the "kind and quality" of your ring for replacement or monetary settlement.

Another reason for appraisal is to verify the diamond matches the cert. I trust GOG/WF/BGD and other PS vendors, but for your own peace of mind you may want to have it appraised. Find someone independent, not someone who seels jewelry. https://www.pricescope.com/appr_list.aspx

Congrats on your purchase! Good luck on the upcoming proposal! In regards to appraisal, it all depends on what you want it for and what kind of insurance you''re looking at. As DD said prior, sometimes a bill of sales is good, but sometimes other people prefer the higher appraisal for estimated replacement cost which means you''d end up paying a bit more for insurance (which is the one we have) because if anything happens to my ring, I''d be able to work with any jeweler I want and get my ring replaced for the estimated value. But it all depends on what you want the appraisal for and how much insurance you''re looking for.

Here is the one I am trying to get or find something VERY similar. The only thing that can be different is the diamonds around the pave can be half way instead all the way and doesnt really need the diamonds on the head.

So far pearlmans has the best price.

I think Ritani will customize their setting any way you like. I think you should go through Bill. Price is great exp. with the sale, and the service at Pearlmans is great. Most importantly, apparently Ritani is built like a tank, which is so important for delicate pave. I would pay the designer premium for the high quality when it comes to pave.

Congrats! Pictures?

Hopefully this pic works..
