Hi all -

I posted a few weeks ago about a diamond I found on James Allen that I ultimately returned. Didn’t have the ratio I was looking for.

This diamond I found via Pricescope’s diamond search and I love it - however I’m a little nervous about the strong fluorescence. Is it going to appear blue in the sunlight?

Any advice and insights are very welcome. Thank you!

Since your diamond is an I it will help it look whiter. My diamond has strong blue fluorescence and in bright sun it sometimes looks icier but I love it.

Also, make sure you see it in sunlight to make sure it’s not hazy or oily.

It may go blue in direct sunlight but no one should look at diamonds in direct sunlight - it does weird things that seem unpredictable.
What you need to know - is the stone hazy in UV light. You also have not put the stone on hold - someone might grab it.
Ask the vendor to get an opinion in shaded daylight.
As mentioned - the blue in UV will make the stone look a color grade or 2 better.
