Hi pfb.

This diamond is on the shallow side of what many would consider a conventional ''Ideal'' range. The drawback is that shallow diamonds tend to get darker faster when the light is obstructed (by a viewer''s head, for instance). This is why, if you read the HCA ''usage warnings and information'' this combo falls on the border of a ''pendant and earring'' diamond. With that said, some people have a taste for the look of diamonds on the shallow side of ''Ideal.'' In general terms they are dynamic and bright when unobstructed. Nevertheless, there is a reason the HCA and other systems put this combo on the border, or outside, of their most popular desired combinations.
