I am in the process of purchasing a round diamond center stone for an engagement ring, and have come across the following diamond online. I am by no means an expert and am very hesitant about purchasing from an online store from which I have never personally seen the diamond. As a result, I would be greatly appreciative of some of you more knowledgeable diamond evaluaters could take a look and help me digest what I am looking at. I will attach the IdealScope, Sarin, and 40X Mag images.
According to the vendor, "it is eyeclean. It has two twinning wisps from the crown into the table. There is no carbon at all. It is a great looking stone."
According to WF: "It is a great looking stone. It is nice and bright. The clarity is a couple of clouds (small pinpoints) in the table and into the star faceting."
If you could take a quick look and give me your honest feelings regarding the stone - and results of the Idealscope image in particular - it would be much appreciated.
Note: Please keep in mind that neither me nor the receipient of the stone are gemologists, hence the reason I was willing to forego some clarity for size/color/$$$/etc.
Thanks!
