I would like to buy my wife round diamond earings total carat of 1.5, set in white gold or platinum. I want something reasonable, but I'm not sure what is typical for earrings.
My impression was that people go lower in color and cut since they are earrings as compared to an engagement ring to save some money. Does anyone have any suggestions/thoughts?
I just looked on blue nile and the cheapest 1.5c diamonds they have is $5,500. I guess I would have to spend this at a minimum to get a decent pair?
