I want to buy my wife a set diamond studs for our one year anniversary. I bought her e-ring from Whiteflash and was very satisfied. I''m debating on whether to buy a set of .5 or .75. I''m leaning toward the larger set but are they that much larger? I''m leaning towards sticking with WF since I trust them but am open to others suggestions. I initially wanted to spend around $800 but am willing to pay around $1100 if it makes sense. I just don''t want to purchase the smaller set and wish I would have purchased the larger ones.

All advice is appreciated. Everyone helped me purchase the e-ring- now you can help me purchase the one year anniverary gift!!!

Yes, there would be a visual difference. Here''s a pic that might help you. And WF would be a fine choice to get them, especially since you are comfortable there. I''d also recommend the hand made 3 prong martini setting.

This is a .74, .45, .17.

Personally I''d go as big as you can...she''ll love them!

Hi,

If you can afford the larger pair, I''d go for those. I had a pair of .50 ctw for years and upgraded a year ago to .80 ctw and those earrings are SO MUCH more wearable. They stand out more and are more proportionate to my ears.

I think this is key. 0.50 ctw (0.25 ct per ear) can look huge on tiny earlobes. They can look dinky on larger earlobes. I have 0.85 ctw (0.42 and 0.43 ct) and I think they are perfect on my small to medium sized earlobes. I suggest taking a look at various ear shot threads here, and try to compare the pictures to her ears.

If you can swing it, I''d get the larger pair. I think there will be a quite noticeable difference between the two sizes.

lol It''s just to show that there are noticable differences within a small ct. weight jump. This better?

(And actually, that more *lifesize* pic is quite effective!)

OP: Get as big as you can comfortably afford.

But don't sweat it if you can't get as big as you may ultimately *want*. That's what upgrade policies are for!
