Would a diameter deviation of .11 mm be way too much to even consider a stone?

Its best to give us the full details of the diamond in question (e.g. carat and and full details of the certificate) for us to be able to give any meaningful opinions as its the sum of the details that makes a difference to the answer.

Well said Indira!

As previous posters said, need more info. For example, are both well cut? A bigger stone will be less noticeable in terms of overall face-up but you will be paying alot more, etc.

here are the specs:

GIA 2.04 ct

Cut: Excellent
Polish: Excellent
Sym: Excellent
Clarity: Si2 (perfectly eye clean and inclusions are all on the edge)
Color: H

Crown: 35 degrees
Pavillion: 40.6
Table: 57%
Depth: 61.3

8.1-8.21 x 5mm

Nope, perfectly acceptable.

The diameter or spread is fine, no worries.
