Can a diamond get scratched by dropping it accidently onto concrete from a height of ~1m?

Its possible but diamonds are fairly tough, get an appraiser to check it out if you are worried to make sure.

im not sure what it would do (no expert opinion here). but take a look at the setting, id be more worried about that. make sure none of the prongs loosened up.. loosing the diamond would be a worse case scenario.

Hi LB,

Does it appear that it does have a scratch now? Is that why you''re concerned? Because what you may be seeing is an actual fracture if the diamond hit the concrete the right way - hard enough to fracture it, anyway. Can you post a picture so that we can take a look?
