Diamond cutting question re Brian G

I have a chance to get my grubby little hands on a pair .80 each (1.60 tcw of D VVS diamonds with only a mediocre cut. Is it realistic to ask Brian to recut stones this small and would you anticipate a lot of size being lost?

Um. You want to buy diamonds that are D VVS .80''s and have Brian re-cut them? Well it depends on your desired result... Brian can do a full re-cut to get it to his BG Signature standards, he can do a partial to improve the performance with the least weight loss and anything in between. But a lot depends on your expectations of the final product and the diamonds to start with. Some are good re-cut candidates others aren''t. I would ask Brian directly by giving him a call. He would be the best person to ask.

Probably best to contact Brian and Lesley directly. But you may have to ship the stones to them to evaluate how much weight you will lose to get to and excellent cut.
