I found this website from ebay: http://diamondconciergeservice.com when I spoke to the sales rep, he told me I would have to give him a $200.00 deposit to show him that I am serious about working with him-- he also is making claims to beat any price. I had another post in this forum earlier about a 4ct radiant I found and I have been calling everywhere looking for similar stones even for a little more and nobdy is able to match what I found so far. $200.00 isn't a lot of money but nobody likes to get scammed. Has anyone used a concierge service and paid a deposit beforehand? Is it legit/worth it?

You can put that $200 bucks towards the stone you're looking at getting if you use the advice and suggestions of folks around here constructively and can be honest with yourself. ;-)

Call Mark at Engagement Rings Direct for your Radiant and he'll diamond concierge you for free. Don't email, they aren't good with that.

Also, you can call Pearlmans Jewelers and ask for Julien. He's great and again... free. If they find you a stone there might be a small fee to get one in, but only if you don't buy it, to cover their shipping costs. And I'm not even sure that they charge for the first couple stones.
