Diamond comparison

Hi all, first time poster and a beginner who has done some self-research.

These are 3 diamonds that have been approved by the vendor as worth buying from a list of diamonds I initially chose and sent to the vendor to narrow down.

1) $11150 AUD


2) $9700 AUD

What are your thoughts on these 3 stones? Which one would you say is the best stone/best value?

I don’t like the flat crowns of Option 1 & 2. Option 1 also has a table larger than its depth, which is generally not advised. Option 3 has the most promise IMO. It would be great if they could provide advanced images (hearts & arrows, IS or ASET). But of the 3, I prefer option 3.

From what I've read a Clarity based on clouds is not a good thing. The fear of having a cloudy diamond scared me! You want that sparkle, so 1 is out. The crown and pavilion angles for number 3 looks good.

Here is some info I use if not accessing the HCA tool:

Table Percentage: 55 – 57%

Total Depth:
– 60 – 61.5% (for girdle thickness between 2.5 – 3.5%)
– 61.5 – 62.5% (for girdle thickness between 3.5% – 4%)

Crown Angle (CA)/ Pavilion Angle (PA)
– For CA = 34°, PA = 41°
– For CA = 34.5°, PA = 40.6° – 40.8°
– For CA = 35°, PA = 40.6°

Thanks for the replies, seems like general consensus is that diamond 3 has the most potential.

Extra info for diamond 1, does this make any difference to change the negative perceptions? I left it out initially because it's the vendor's own report so might be biased.

1) HCA 1.2, VG, Ex, Ex, Ex, Bigger
2) HCA 0.8, Ex, Ex, Ex, VG, Big
3) HCA 1.4, Ex, Ex, Ex, VG, Big
