diamond color

i have a question about diamond color:

i have a diamond annivesary ring...it has 5 diamonds...i just notice today while tanning that the center diamond appears to be blue...a very pale blue but it looks almost aquamarine...does anyone know if this is a visual trick because of the uv light on the ring or could my diamond actually be blue???

Welcome aboard kitty.

Sounds like fluorescence. Cool isn't it?

For the most part, it does not affect the color grade. Many stones have it in varying degrees - it's nothing to worry about.

Perhaps you should post some pictures.

Of the fluorescence, I mean. Using a wide angle lens.
