I first saw the Cartier diamond trinity ring on the Today show last week when they presented the rings to be voted on for the couple chosen to get married on the show.

I thought it was beautiful! Has anyone gotten to try one, or better yet have one? and how does it feel? I would not think a man would like to wear one though. i think it''s more a female ring.

Martha Stewart said she has one and likes the way it rolls on her finger.

Do you think it could be replicated and turn out as well?

I have not had the pleasure of owning one, merely of trying one. It''s sufficiently comfortable, but does not roll very well.

I tried on both the single row bead set version and the three row pave version on Saturday at Cartier. I thought the pave multi-row rolled a lot better, but if the HH were to come home and surprise me with the other one I certainly wouldn''t turn it away!

Thank-you Skippy for the info on Rollingring. They certainly are a lot cheaper. Except I would want more diamonds.

Would the 3 row pave be a ring that one could wear everyday?

I actually ordered the Trinity One about four months ago to use as a wedding band. At that time I was wearing my e-ring on my right hand and just wanted to wear my wedding band on my left. I work a block from Cartier, so I kept going and trying it on. At first I loved it, and ordered it, then I kept going over and trying it on and ultimately decided it wasn''t that comfortable for me. I decided to cancel my order and the following day had my e-ring resized to my left hand.

The ring was gorgeous and it did roll on and off like butter :) But it was bulky for me and the one pave band dug into the sides of my other fingers. The regular trinity bands (I tried on the Trinity Star, which has diamonds that sit flush with the band) were tiny bit more comfortable, but I liked the look of the Trinity One better.

I certainly wouldn''t turn down the Cartier rolling band, I just don''t know if I''d want to wear it every day. Also, if I were to do it again, I''d probably order it from an alternative vendor and avoid the Cartier price--the Trinity One I ordered was nearly $7,000, which seems wicked high for one gold band, one rose gold band and one pave band. This was obviously before I found PS :)

I tried on the three gold, channel set ring resently (like katie holme''s), and I thought it was very comfortable. It was made by memoire and half the price. I thought it gorgeous and comfortable.
