When we got engaged my fiance asked me what I wanted for an e ring. I immediately knew-a shared prong eternity ring, roughly 3 carats. I was looking at online options and had it narrowed down to 2. I then went to try some on locally, since I was deciding between a round and asscher cut. I went to the first store, tried one on, didn''t like it. I tried several more at different stores and didn''t like them either. I realized the height and bulk of the shared prong looked awkward on my finger. So, I am still looking for some sort of diamond band, but one that sits lower to the finger. I would like one that has width without bulk, and is not overly ornate. I would love some suggestions for alternatives to the shared prong eternity.

Some of the alternatives I''ve looked at are channel cuts, the garland eternity ring at Blue Nile, and more "designed" diamond band-I''ve seen ones I like on the Cartier and Tiffany websites- but it doesn''t have to be a brand name.

Those are both pretty. I like the setting on the first, but would prefer something wider. I would love the second as a RH ring, but it''s not exactly what i have in mind for an e ring.

These are the links for a few I''ve liked. Does anyone have opinions or alternatives?

How about Whiteflash''s U-prong eternity band? The melees are 10 points each. There are a totoal of 20 to 25 diamonds depending on your ring size.

This is a better picture.

For myself, I prefer the 5-stone version of this style (as suggested by Ebree) , but with bigger melees from 0.30 ct to 0.50 ct each. For an eternity band, I prefer smaller melees, 3 to 5 points.
