I am in the process of replacing my wife's 1.53c engagement ring that was stolen last year. As we are approaching 25 years of marriage I thought I would replace it with a larger stone. I am considering using an online site such as Brian Gavin or similar to purchase the ring through. After doing a little research this is what I came up with to give me the best bang for my buck, please feel free to comment and offer any suggestions online.

Round 1.8+ carat H&A
G-H-I color
SI1 or SI-2 clarity
20k budget including setting

Do you have any specific stones you are looking at? If you post links to stones you're thinking of, we can tell you whether the stone is a good candidate or not. The specs sound good so far.

BGD's inventory is a bit low in your size/ budget range, but this might be an option : http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/d...ls/1.758-i-vs2-round-diamond-ags-104073209013

Any of these could also be lovely, but ask whiteflash to let you know if they're eyeclean :

It looks like WF currently has the largest selection of 1.8ct stones in your spec range.
