I am looking at two anniversary bands and am curious as to which is better quality in your opinion. I am not rich and can't afford a perfect diamond, but I would like to have the one that you think would sparkle and be prettier of the two.

The first is a 1/2 CT TW Princess Cut Diamond Channel Band. 18k White gold, Color E-F and Clarity of I1.

The Second is a 1/2 CT TW Pricess Cut Diamond Channel Band. 14K White Gold, Color H-1 and Clarity of SI2.

Thanks for your advice! I am really struggling to decide which is best.

You cant tell without seeing the items themselves. Who graded the stones, and several other factors. If they were graded by the same individual and depending on placement the S inclusion should, again should be less visable then an I inclusion.

Right now, without pictures or seeing them, its a coin toss

How much are you looking to spend and we could find you some various items that might meet or exceed what it is you are currently debating.

hard to say right now. :?

I had a co worker come back to work after the holidays, sporting this little trinket! Her DH bought it online via a vendor he first found on eBay, then had contact with Chris at customer support. Had a very good experience and was impressed with their quality.

I'm toying with the notion of a few of these little pretties, myself! I love the Princess trellis (http://www.pompeii3.com/p-1625-100-ct-princess-cut-diamond-wedding-anniversary-ring-7.aspx) and would look into upgrading from G/H to F/G and VS clarity...

Just another option, but other than feedback from this one person, I have no other knowledge of their products. Good luck!

(Has anyone else dealt with this vendor??)

Very nice! Things to think about with any additional ring on the LH, is the top height (mm measurement) so you know how much 'real estate' you have on your finger to 'spend' (so to speak...).

Upping your budget will allow you better colour, cut and clarity of the stones you decide upon. "Quality never goes out of style", as the phrase goes! And as all PS'ers know... you can always upgrade AGAIN!! lol

Just as an aside - I did have a channel set anniversary band that I just took apart and used the diamonds on another project. I did that because (in my world, which may not be how you wear/use your rings) it just kept getting all 'gunky' under the diamonds. Not trying to dampen your enthusiasm, just throwing out my experience :))

Enjoy the search - fantasizing about diamonds is one of our favourite past times! They all look lovely - Enjoy!!!

How do I know if I am getting a good "deal" on these? I am so worried about paying too high of a price for something when I could have something just as nice. For instance, on James Allen there is a .52 carat channel band, princess cut, 13 diamonds, 2.8 mm wide ring, VS1 Clarity, F Color for $2,225 for platinum. How do I know what is a fair price and what isn't?

The James Allen one will almost certainly look nicer. I didn't click the link, but you might also consider facetscollection.com or even idjewelryonline.com (someone correct my link if Im wrong). Tell em you're a ps'er and they'll make sure those diamonds are amazing.

Of these rings, how would you rate them? Which one would you buy if you were faced with this choice? I am absolutely clueless on the price jumps in these rings and really appreciate all the help I can get!
