Hello everyeone,

First of all, thank you all for taking time to answer all our newbie questions, it''s great to get some impartial advice!

I''m looking to buy an engagement ring and found the following diamond:

Cut: Excellent
Clarity: VS2
Color: H
Depth: 60.30%
Table: 57%
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Girdle: Thin to medium
Measurement: 6.37*6.41*3.85

Small feather along the table and clouds (not shown on diagram).

$4300 USD.

Does this seem like a good price for the diamond? And can you just confirm that I should not be able to see any imperfections without magnification?

Thanks again!

Dave

PS this is a magnification of the stone, and forgot to say it 0.97 carat, and these are GIA ratings. :)

Could you post the crown & pavillion angles, please?

that looks great!

Things like crown angles, etc. would be helpful. If you have those, could you please post them?

certainly:

The angles look good. I would ask for an IS image just to be sure, but from the numbers and picture, it has good possibilities.

Numbers looks good. Request for an IS image.

Sorry, IS image? Is that a picture of the inscription?

Thank you both very much! Does the price sound reasonable to you if it comes back ok?

What is the carat weight?

It''s 0.97

Price looks good to me.

Go and request for an IS, the stone will then be put on hold for you until 24hrs after you receive the IS image. Also, the vendor has PS discount, so the price is better than 4.3k.

Thanks Stone - done just that, waiting for results now!

Good luck. :)

looks real close to the stone I picked for $5,200 but just hit the 1.09c mark even though the jeweler kept telliing me that .90+ is considered a carat I still had to have that 1.0.
