Diameter of a stone.

I asked someone what the diameter of a stone was and they said 4.9 x 5.75 but she says it''s round? How can that be a measurment of a round stone? Either she means something else or I just misunderstood. Right?

Perhaps she means width and depth?

Hopefully it means width and depth--or else maybe the stone is out of round??

Boy, I hope it's neither - if it's two diameter measurements, it's NOT a round stone, even if it is "round", and if it's diam. and depth then it's 117% deep!!

Even if it's depth and diam., it's still 85% deep!

I think she must have got it wrong!!
