Anyone have a fabulous wedding location? I live in WI where you can never count on having good weather so we''re considering a destination location, somewhere warm and beautiful. I''ve considered Hawaii but is kind of overwhelming with so many choices or maybe Jamaica. I saw a lovely Jamaican wedding video that was held at Beaches Negril.
One big fear is the photographer, videographer, or officiant will be mediocre since these resorts force you to use their vendors/staff for those services. The Jamaican wedding looked fun and beautiful but the video itself was very cheesily done.
Anyone have a beautiful location AND luck out with exception photos and video???

My BF''s sis eloped to Anguilla. Her pics were gorgeous and they wouldn''t have changed a thing. I think as long as you stick with a reputable hotel they wil be able to help you. I am Trying to plan a destination wedding to Lake Como, so I understand your concerns. I do now people that just swae by Sandals in Jamacia, and even from Florida they go there every year!

A friend of mine got married in Playa del Carmel, Mexico last june. They didn''t have a videographer, but the photographer was amazing

Hope this helps!

I''ve hears wonderful things about the Rockhouse hotel in Jamaica, for both destination weddings and just for vacation. Also, it''s supposed to be pretty reasonably priced. Let me know what you think!

If you are willing to forgo a beach, try san miguel de allende in mexico or one of the neighboring towns. They are in central mexico and are amazing. Plus, san miguel is known for its artists so you can find some really amazing photographers very cheap.
They don''t do the all inclusive resort thing, but they have beautiful villas like at this site http://www.villa-xichu.com/
It is much cheaper and less touristy than costal mexico and is surrounded by amazing natural hot springs. There are people who will do all the wedding planning for you like this guy, http://www.weddingssanmiguel.com/, who a friend of mine used and really liked.
I am not getting married there, but if I were doing a destinantion wedding, that is where I would go.

It is the city where desperato movies where filmed for the most part if you want to check it out that way.
Plus, it is well known for its jewelers and mexican red opals are mined about 40 miles away in dolores so you can get a great deal.

Just don''t go right before easter, they have the biggest easter celebration in mexico and the city is packed.
I lived there for awhile so if you have questions, let me know.

All excellent suggestions, thank you! Keep ''em coming! I felt I wasn''t getting the full picture from the travel agent.

OMG BrooklynGirl, LOVE that photographer! That''s what I''m talking about! I''m not 100% sure on Mexico...

My only hang-up with Mexico is a fear of getting sick(very sensitive stomach on a good day HERE). Anyone else with that fear? Maybe not a good forum question!?!

But back to main topic, thanks for suggestions, these are GREAT!
Anyone have experience with photo/video at Beaches personally? I did not see this girl''s photos, maybe I should ask...
