Can I please have some names of modern expensive designers. I hate cheap looking veils and that all i keep seeing online.

I don''t have any particular names to help you with, but maybe you can check with your bridal salon. My salon had a ton of veils from all of the designers.
I have to say though, I bought a designer veil (don''t remember who) because I was so overwhelmed I lost all reason for a moment. It is really nice, but not sure if it is $350 nice. I kinda wish I just ordered one for a 100 bucks or so......
If you are okay with the price i guess it could be worth it.
I hope others can chime in and help you with a few reccomendations.

I''ve heard Toni Frederiki (or something) is quite nice.

But I''m wondering - what makes one ''cheap'' and another not aside from embellishments? Isn''t all tulle the same? (not asked in a snarky way!! just wondering!)

I''m with Octoberbride.... I tried on 2934852985 Justina McCaffrey veils, all of which were 200 +, some even 400 and honestly, I couldn''t see a *huge* difference between the "designer" veil and the veils I used to wear when modeling.. seriously.

So, I think maybe going to a couple of salons and trying on both "regular" veils and "designer" veils might be a good idea.

Also, pictures online always seem "cheap".... photographing tulle and such can''t be easy !!!!!!

No, not at all... Some are very coarse and stiff, others (like designer) is very flowy and smooth to the touch.

ETA: Depending on the desired look, designer can use the tough tule as well, like with a birdcage look

If designer is what you what, here are some names:
Erica Koesler
Laura Jayne
Lori London
Sara Gabriel Veils

there are a few different types of tulle; most veils are made out of bridal illusion, and some are made out of silk tulle (and there is one in between the two but i forget what it's called exactly, maybe english netting?). anyways bridal illusion is much stiffer than silk, but most designer still use it for the majority of veils because it's tulle that has the most 'poof' to it. it is also the most see-though. you can find non-designer silk tulle veils that are more flowy, etc and they will be more expensive than the non-designer illusion veils, but only by a little. the type of fabric used has more to do with the look they are going for and less to do with the price in most cases.

if you want flowy you can also go with a chiffon or organza veil. birdcage veils are actually made out of a netting (russian or french) which some designers (like haven's!) incorporate it into a tulle veil, but that's a whole different look.

I bought a Toni Frederici veil from the bridal shop. I haven''t been able to find a picture online. It''s the veil I loved with my dress the two times I tried the sample dress on. I was determined to go back after I bought the dress, check out the veil in order to find a cheaper version online. However, just my luck (or better said, just my taste!) I wasn''t able to find anything like it online.

Here is an article on veils I found just now that says silk tulle is actually stiffer and more net-like in appearance than bridal illusion. It has a lot of other useful info about veils as well:

i''m not sure why that are saying that, but it''s misinformation

. i''ve done a lot of research and have gotten at least a dozen fabric samples of the different types of tulle and i promise you silk is MUCH less stiff than bridal illusion. the weave used makes it a little more netlike in appearance, but it has nothing to do with stiffness.
