I am concentrating on getting a nicer diamond and not a bigger one. Does anyone have any thoughts on this particular diamond?

Sounds like a plan. You probably couldn''t pick a better cut stone, it''s fabulous.
 
Looking t the Sarin report it shows symmetry as Good. Am I reading it right?
 
The cut looks fantastic. I will agree that you could drop to F vs2 and not see ANY difference what-so-ever in quality. But if it''s a mind-clean thing and you''re set on D vs1, they both look great. And I LOVE fluorescence, so I''d pick that one.
 
I suggest calling up Good Old Gold and speaking to Jon. He''s the expert, he can look at the stones and discuss which would be best for you.

Looks like a stunner! I am with you on the high colours - my ering is almost the same - 0.8ct D VS2 and I am totally in love with it. For me it's a perfect size, not too big and not too small, and the icy white colour is just incredible. I spend far too much time every day just gazing at it!!! She is going to love it!!!!!

ETA - Are you sure that price is correct? If so, diamonds have certainly shot up in price over the past 6 months!!!!

Gorgeous stone and GOG is wonderful! I''d probably personally go to F color since it is also in the colorless range, but if you want D, then this one is great!
