My boyfriend and I have decided to work together on the ring process. He wants me to have exactly what I want and I truly enjoy diving in and researching!
We went to Diamonds Direct (Charlotte) about a month ago and moved further along in the process that I thought we would in one day. I found a rose gold, solitaire setting I feel in love with very quickly. We also looked at 5-6 diamonds. We put a deposit on one.
It's a 1.02 oval, F color, SI 2 clarity (eyeclean), with good symmetry and polish. I don't have any info on fluorescence. It is GIA certified. We can't exactly remember the price, but it is between $5,300-$5,500.
I plan on using two, "stackable" rose gold, diamond accent wedding bands to accent, so we want to get a good/fair deal in order to save some of the budget for the complete look I desire.
The rose gold setting is designer (unfortunately), so it is $1,090, but we get a 20% discount due to some anniversary sale.
Is this a fair deal? Since I'm set on an oval diamond, it has been difficult to really compare prices online. Thanks for the input!
