The US has obscenely high rates of re-conviction and re-incarceration. Turns out any system - including rehabilitation of those for whom it didn't begin well - that ends in lining the pockets of a few wealthy individuals isn't good for anyone other than said wealthy individuals and their nearest and dearest.

Our prison system is f'd. @Dancing Fire I'm confident you won't get many responses because I'm one of few people masochistic enough to still rise to the bait. If you want to interpret that as evidence that your racism is justified - well, head, meet bricks.

Edited to not reduce myself to wallowing in the muck at the bottom of the barrel alongside the original post.

There are plenty of reasons and Mr. Washington's is among them. Blaming it all on one thing (or someone else entirely) is a bad idea no matter what side you are on.

Racism, really?? . Do you really think that white cops love Asian yellow skin and that's reason why there are less % of Asians in prison?. No, b/c most Asians grew up in a home with both parents. The left only wanna speak in PC and don't wanna face the facts.

Are you all that smart? 13th century...great tactics I could use in everyday life, for real. o_O I am currently employing some of those strategies; they are brilliant. Wish I'd read it about a year and a half ago!

No, I don't care what race they marry as long as he treated her good and with respect. However, I don't want my daughters to marry a bum with no job.

DD#1's dinner reception was $17K. We forked out $6K and they pay the balance of $11K from cash gifts they received from friends and relatives.
