Hi Mike,

Thank you for the terrific suggestion! I had wondered if something like that was possible, but I had no idea how to execute it. Thank you for taking the time to help me with this. Your work is absolutely GORGEOUS!

Dreamer, I do believe she has similar specs for all of her listings. I do wish she had better photos (and more than one!). However, she was very nice and agreed to give me a 3 day return period so that I could take them to my jeweler. I think that perhaps she thinks most people don't know the difference/understand specs and just go by the photo (not true for PSers of course!). I'd tell you to call her, but you managed to find your own gorgeous pair! ;))

I think I've hit a snag with my settings plans. I showed DH the sketch last night and he thinks they resemble a cross. Given that we're Jewish, he didn't really care for the outline. Here's a photo of something really similar. We had tweaked it a bit. What I liked about this is that the post was on the stud part of the earring and since there were "loops" both above and below, it kind of balanced the earrings and you couldn't tell that my piercings were lopsided. So, I guess I have to go back to the drawing board. Sigh.

Gorgeous pair of stones you have found, Yennyfire! Beautiful! You guys are so lucky with the OEC's you find --- "Sherlock Holme's of the OEC world"!! hahaha!

Your last photo of the 'loops' on the solitiare, first made me think of the Louis Vuitton design! For me, if things are not symmetrical on my ears, it drives me crazy! That's why I go for RB for studs - if a princess was off centre, I'd go nuts.

I understand the teasing part - but it is so painful to have to wait till the big reveal... any hints???? Or now that the Louis Vuitton loops are off the table, it's totally back to the original 5 options?

I'm still a #4 vote!

I don't have a helpful suggestion other than to say I think the pattern on that style would make me nutso if it rotated around, like in the picture you posted. Would that assymmetry not bother you at all?

Thanks for the compliment.
I have another suggestion that might work for you, how about adding a fith loop to the surround so that it has five petals rather than four, It would no longer be symmetrical so that will take care of that problem and you can tell your husband that it's now a Star of David

Yes, the asymmetrical would bother me but I'm sort of at a loss at this point.

Mike, you are too funny! Wouldn't five loops be as asymmetrical as four? Would 6 look better? I don't want it to look like a flower though. I wish I could draw! :?

Personally for me I think six loops would start to look a little busy, you don't want to swamp your OEC's. I think five petals would help hide the few degrees difference you might get if they do spin around a little when being worn, especially once you get a smile in between them. Good/large earring backs will also help them sit better on your lobe.

To see what five loops would look like you could do a google image search for "small flowers" youll find images of small five loop flowers at all different angles looking great together.

Great suggestion again Mike, thank you! I appreciate your help. I so badly want to end up with earrings I love! It might be easier to have plastic surgery on my ears to make larger lobes with symmetrical piercings!

I agree that 6 loops would be too much for your OECs

I agree too, I'm just not sure where to go from here. I may just stick with the design I have and not worry if they twist off center a bit or if DH thinks I look like I'm on my way to church.
