Hi,

(Sorry if I repeated myself in an older thread. It was under a different topic , so it think it''s better write it in a new topic).

I have decided on a stone . Now, need to finalized on the setting.

I am looking for a solitaire setting with no side stones in either a 4 prong or 6 prong style.

I am considering these 3 choices:

1. Vatche Royal Crown
I kind of like the idea of being able to have the profile view of the diamond (i.e. Royal crown). However, I checked on a number of pictures from pricescope. It seems that the shape and the quality of the royal crown varies quite a bit. Some looks wonderful, and some are not as good. (not sure if it''s just the picture quality or me being paranoid).
So I am a bit worried if it doesn''t look as good as the official picture.

2. MM Sunburst
I like the classy look of sunburst. And all the pictures I have seen from pricescope all look good with excellent shape and finish. (not sure if this is enough to show the consistency in MM''s quality).

The downside is :
- it seem to block quite a bit of the side view (profile view).
- it could be hard to find a matching wedding band because the base (where the diamond sits) is circular and sticks out a bit.

3. MM Flame without side stones
- I like the curvy prongs
- I have only seen the official pictures from MM WITH the side stones. But haven''t seen many good pictures of it without the side stones, not sure if it will offer some semi-see through effect of the profile view. So this is more of a guess work
If you have pictures of it WITHOUT the side stones, that''d be great!

Which one would be easier to clean/maintain/repair?

Any comments/suggestions?

And Ladies, do you care much about the profile (side) view of the diamond (i.e from Royal crown)?

Thanks soooo much !

I''d go for the MWM Torchiere (spelling) it combines the best of the two setting of his you have listed. Or a Leon Mage solitare.
