I walked into a B&M (wasnt zales, but...) and the lady behind the counter had a huge diamond that rivaled that. I'd estimate it was at least 1.3cm (yeah, cm)- emerald cut- and was so 'white' that I had momentarily thought someone had placed correction fluid on it.....
Yeah. It kinda sickened me to look at. But the prices were humorous
After eons of mother natures handiwork, a item of beauty has emerged in the market. This rare translucent/opaque "ICE PICK" diamond was saved from destruction by the Black & Decker drill bit company, by a gallent soul from Africa. He only managed to save 4 before the rest were ground into oblivion. Hence the specially designed commerative 4 prong setting and bale, symbolising the arms of our hero grabbing the gems from the abyss. These are one of a kind works of art and can be yours for the unbeliveable sum of $19.95. And if you call now, you will get the matching necklace and solitaire ring.
RE: the other poster with the correction-fluid diamond...I DID walk into Zales (wanted to compare princess to round in person), and after talking with me for three minutes, the saleslady realized I knew a little bit about diamonds and would only be offended if she offered me ugly ones. So she took me to the "size matters" case, which, she said, nobody in their right mind would ever purchase. Showed me a 3+ ct diamond that I couldn't even SEE THROUGH. We had a good laugh over it though, comparing it to the "signature" round.
