Ive been searching for a stone for a few weeks now, and have gotten the point where I'm ready to buy from an online dealer. However, I asked for idealscope images, the genteleman I've been communicating with told me that his reps don't have ideLscopes. Can this be? It is a well regarded dealer and this surprised me. I've gotten some Sarins, which help with the HCA, but Should I be wary of purchasing from this dealer?

use a different dealer. good old gold, james allen, or whiteflash

Is it a vendor that PS recommends? IF so, then see if another one of our vendors can get it in.

The majority of vendors don't have idealscopes. Even many of the PS vendors do not. It's not the sign of a bad jeweler. You can buy one yourself for 25 bucks if it matters that much to you. Or you can use a vendor that has one. Or you can buy from this guy with a return policy and get it appraised by an appraiser that has one. Lots of work arounds.
