DBTY Question....

I bought this on eBay because its had sapphires and I know the stones aren't the best at all. I had a DBTY necklace before that I sold in yellow gold, but the diamonds were much smaller, so they were fine. These are 10 pointers and they stab the heck out of my neck. Is this normal with DBTY necklaces? It's 17 inches and there is a diamond on both sides of the clasp in the back too, that dig something terrible. It was really, really good deal and I'm wondering if there are any suggestions on what I can do to fix this? I'd hate to send it back if there is an easy fix for it. Any ideas?

Oh Charmy- I had a bracelet with diamonds and then a necklace with aquas/ spinels that were DBTY style. I sold them both because the stones were just too big and took chucks out of me. Litterally I ended up getting a much smaller DBTY necklace that was only .50ctw and that doesn't bother me at all. The bracelet I gave up on and wear a bangle instead....but I still have 2 scars from it! I'm just too hard on my jewelry so it bit back. I'm sorry to say this might be a piece you can only wear for short periods of time.

Ouch SB! My goodness, scars? Not good at all. [DISAPPOINTED FACE] Thanks so much Sarahbear, I figured that may be the case but was so hoping for an easy fix.
