how do you choose which company to go with for a diamond by the yard necklace? is it price? is it service? or is it quality? they both custom to your specifications with their ideal cut diamonds..... please share what made you choose one vendor over another? thanks.

I think both probably have similar quality, this is based on making a purchase from both (not for dbty though). I guess for me I would let price decide for me. Both WF and BGD are great to work with :)

I find both WhiteFlash and Brian Gavin make excellent quality jewelry and put their hearts and arrows cut stones in these pieces. I have a WF dby necklace and would love to even have a second one with larger stones! I actually had to go look, but right now it appears that BG's prices are running a couple hundred dollars more than WF for the standard white gold and platinum .50, 16" necklaces. If you plan to do custom, I'd just go with the lowest price quote.

$$ was a concern of mine, so I reached out to ID Jewelry and ERD for price quotes.

All these Pricescope recommended vendors - WF, BGD, IDJ, and ERD will deliver something spectacular.

If you are interested in a DBTY but not using diamonds, I just had DanielM make me one using my pear sapphires and I'm thrilled with it!

I just bought a dbty necklace from WF. I really wanted to buy from BGD since I'm going to be working with them on another project but they were considerably more than WF for the dbty necklace. I couldn't justify the price difference and the WF necklace is stunning.

WF was a pleasure to deal with. I went with a custom necklace since i wanted larger stones than their standard necklace. They were extremely helpful and answered all of my questions quickly.

Yay! Can't wait! :appl:

I chose Whiteflash because I've worked with them multiple times beforehand and I know their quality, and customer service are great, and are my preferred PS vendor.

My DBTY is gorgeous and they use their ACA diamonds, and yes they customize. I had one made with larger stones and more of them. As others have stated, I'm sure BGD and IDJ make beautiful necklaces...everyone seems to love theirs.

For me, price, customer service and quality are all things I look for and are important to me.

I went with BG

I just received my DBTY bracelet from BG last month. I was deciding between WF and BG because WF made my diamond stud earrings and I enjoyed working with them. However, WG's price was more than I was willing to spend though the price was entirely justified because the tcw was more than the BG bracelet. I have small wrists so a dainty DBTY bracelet was exactly what I wanted.

BG's was cheaper so I went with them. I asked them to shorten the bracelet and adjust the length of the chain between the diamonds so all were equal distant from each other. They did this free of charge and were great to work with. I got exactly what I wanted, a delicate 5 stone DBTY bracelet.

Having worked with both WF and BG, you can't go wrong with either of them.
