I have a chance to get a Damiani men''s wedding band for about $400 for my boyfriend. It''s the one with ten diamonds in the band. (Five on each side)
I just wanted to run this by everyone on this site. It is a little premature, but I''m not sure a deal like this will come around again.
Thanks for your advice! I probably have to purchase it by Friday or Saturday.

My hubby has that ring in YG with the 10 diamonds on each side. I can tell you first hand - it''s incredible! and that is a REALLY good price!!

GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!

Come back and post pics too!

Here is what the ring looks like.

That''s just the reassurance I needed!

that''s a really nice design! normally i don''t care for stones in a men''s wedding band, but i like how subtle and modern this looks. $400 seems like a great deal. that''s how much i paid for my husband''s stainless steel, titanium and silver band.

here is my DH''s.

It''s is soooo understated and elegant. The diamonds are so subtle...but when you actually look - they are a stunning design detail. GO FOR IT!!!

...and just to put your "amazing deal" into perspective. We paid $2350 CAD for his!!!!!!!!!!!

I know! I''ve never ever liked diamonds in a man''s ring, but my boyfriend really wanted diamonds.
Well, his words were more along the lines of "Why are you the only one that gets diamonds? I want a diamond too."
When I saw this, I thought it would be the perfect compromise. It looks like a simple band from the top, which I like; and it has the diamonds to pacify his jealousy of the diamonds that I''ll have.

ooooooh... Thanks so much for the picture mela lu! I hadn''t seen it on yet.
He''s going to try it on tomorrow. If he likes it, we''re going to go for it. I just got off the phone with him and told him that "my diamond crazy forum people" were telling me to get it.

mela lu-

you''re right, the band looks really great in that handshot! i''m still pretty sure my husband would never wear something like that, but i wouldn''t mind a slightly narrower band for myself

very modern and stylish!

i agree with everyone else - go for it! i really really like that design, and i''m with erica k, i would love one for myself in a narrower band! i also agree - diamonds in a mens band are tough, it''s not often i see something i really like even though the idea appeals to me. this design captures it just right! (i noticed it was codesigned with brad pitt, interesting.)

I noticed that too and I did some googling and it''s the wedding band Brad Pitt designed and wore when he was with Jennifer Aniston.
He also designed her e-ring, if you guys remember it.
I''m not going to tell my boyfriend that story though... I just think it''ll be better that way

The actual ring does not have the engraving inside the band. It just has DAMIANI engraved on the outside.

It''s gorgeous, and what a steal of a price!!

Beautiful ring at such a great price!

Go for it! I am another non-fan of diamonds in mens bands but this one I can definatley make an exception for! I LOVE this band!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I had seen it 6 years ago before we paid $1300 for a platinum band!

Great find Lovelee. It doesn''t sound like you need the push, but I''d go for it!

Thanks so much you guys! I just REALLY wanted to make sure I was making a good decision.
I''m a bit of a commitment-phobe, so it really helps knowing that ya''ll are behind me.
Anyways, I''ll let y''all know tomorrow.... He''s seen the ring, but he hasn''t tried it on yet.

Here''s hoping!

LOVE that design. I remember when they first designed it. There were no images anywhere. Just a verbal description...it was so hard to picture, but the gesture wasn''t. I think he said he wanted the outter ring to protect the inner ring and that they were to be held together with the rarity of the diamond. Outter ring of course to signify him and the inner to represent his betrothed.

No matter the out come of that union, that ring is still a lovely and creative creation. When I finally got to see it I thought WOW...how ever did a mind come up with that? It is easy now that I have seen it. But all inventions are that way.

Glad you don''t have the inner engraving. Not sure my hub bub would wear it if he had Brad Pitts name on the inside. Do anyone elses have his name engraved? If so...how was it received?

I think you got a killer deal...I envy you! Congrats on the steal of the month!

Awww thanks for that story Door Knob Solitaire! Now I love the ring even more!! I had no idea Brad Pitt was that romantic.

You''re right though. There is no way I''m going to use Brad Pitt as a selling point to my boyfriend.

Now that you mention it again, I''m kind of curious too whether the other rings have the engraving inside. Mela Lu?

Actually, yes! My hubby''s does have the engraving. He is SO not bothered by it. Our jewelery offered to ''buff out'' either the Damiani logo or the Brad Pitt engraving on the inside...by my DH actaully likes it. It''s like buying a branded sweatshirt (Lacoste) and then cutting off the logo. IMO.

Also, there is still plenty of room on the inside of the band should we ever want to engrave something for ourselves. It''s really not that intrusive. But to each their own right?

Oh I agree with you, but some boys are so silly.

My boyfriend doesn''t understand why women carry designer bags or wear designer clothing with the designer all over them. (like a Louis Vuitton bag or a Chanel sweater) He says that he''s not going to pay designers to advertise for them.

WhatEVER.

You''re lucky that yours isn''t so ''difficult.''

what size mm is this mens ring?? I love it! And is it sold everywhere in the US for $400? Oh, and what metal is it? Thanks!

Definitely not. It''s a very high end ring.

*sigh* there''s that wedding band again.

SIGH~~~ I got all worked up and excited for nothing.
Ya''ll are gonna die.
Apparently the Damiani ring comes in two different widths.
The one that I had my eye on was the narrower of the two and he tried it on today and it just wasn''t masculine enough.
He then tried on the same ring on in a wider style and it looked fabulous.... which of course was the original retail price of $2200.00.....
So I guess I''ll have to start saving up.
face2.gif

So sorry to waste everyone''s time....

oh, i''m so sorry to hear about that! it would have been the steal of the year. i can totally understand your husband preferring the wider band, though.

$2200?

Would the thin one fit a lady?? How much could it be sized?

bummer!!! i was so excited for you!!
