Good morning everyone!!!!!

Happy b-day Allycat!!!!! May this be a wonderful year for you with love, happiness & new experiences!

I would like to also say- WAY TO GO LADIES!!! Do you know that some mornings when I just don''t want to get up and workout I actually think "boy, I''ll feel like a heel if I don''t join the thread today!" and it really does help motivate me! So thanks to you all for your kind words of support and encouragement!

Blue Chica- thanks for the words of support regarding my critical co-worker. I agree that critical people do often have major unresolved issues w/themselves...I just couldn''t get over how I let it effect me! I usually am pretty good at letting things go, the whole "be here now" thing is my mantra, but boy, she really got to me! Anyway...to answer your ? about the Arc trainer- it is similar to an elliptical except I think it has a better range of lower body motion- my knees go higher and the different levels are meant to simulate x-country skiing, elliptical, stair climbing, hiking, and then something else I can''t remember

I find it much more challenging then the elliptical and I bet on a random program it will really put you through a tough workout (I use the fat burn program)

I did the 45 min on the arc today and tomorrow will start my circuit resistance training- I''m going to shoot for m-w-f weight/resistance training on a weekly basis. That will mean getting to the gym at 5 instead of 5:30!!! I should also say that today I switched the cup of coffee that I usually drink while posting to green tea..not too bad but I''m sure I''ll have my cup o''joe while at work anyway.

Sorry so long- be well & happy!

Happy Birthday Alleycat!

I worked out this morning!!! Yeah!!! I think that I have to work out in the mornings from now on. I find too many excuses during the day to not workout in the evenings that it''s just silly...
So, I did my treadmill workout for 30 minutes. According to the calorie counter, I burned 261 calories.

One pound at a time!

Ive still been working out when i get off work, before i get home for at least 30 minutes. Since i usually dont get on here at home, i feel silly writing it the next day. But i like to think i can tell a difference. I dont have a scale, but my pants are getting a little looser, not a whole lot, but i can tell a difference.

Ive really been careful about what im eating and when... like too late at night. The other things ive been doing is taking the long-way to get where im going in the office. Every couple steps is another calorie or two!

Ive got 2 months to get it all off before the dress fittings start...

Keep up the good work ladies!!!

I just got back from meeting my trainer. We did boxing, which is so much fun. She has me warm up by jumping rope and doing some squats, then the goal is to throw 1200 punches. It''s quite a workout, but goes by really quickly. She gave me a really funny note to take home to my boyfriend:

J: Please note that my professional recommendation is to never piss [My full name] off. Reason being her right cross will destroy you. Please be aware. Sincerely, [My trainers name] CPT.

Too funny, and I''ll enjoy giving that to him.

I was a bad, bad girl last night. We went to meet some friends at one of my favorite restaurants, and not only did I try some of J''s newport ale and aged cheddar fondue, but I had 4 vodka sodas (someone here suggested I have that instead of vodka tonics, they taste a bit funny but I think I can get used to it, so thanks for the suggestion, I''m sorry I don''t remember who it was!). I had a great time though, so screw it.

FF - the arc trainer sounds pretty cool. Does it have arms attached? We have something that sounds like what you''re talking about at my gym, but it doesn''t say arc trainer on it. I love green tea - can I recommend either the Fasting from Yogi Teas or Morrocan Mint from Organic Teas?

Ammayernyc - great job getting to the gym...it really is so much easier to get it out of the way in the morning if you can do it.

NJC - great approach, the little changes add up more than the big ones sometimes I think.

Blue Chica: I was the one who suggested soda instead of tonics. I agree... does taste kind of weird. But, I figure after one or two, you don''t taste it so much anyway...

I do kickboxing with my trainer too and it''s great. Get lots of aggression out that way!
