Mintve - I don''t know much about Leon Mege and have not seen his work in person so this is a completely unbiased opinion...
GO with the Leon!

I love the double claw prong deal ... It''s gorgeous!

Looks amazing in the pics I can''t imagine how stunning it will be in person!

That Leon solitare is very elegant & the price is reasonable, too--somewhere between 1600-1800....

i am leaning toward a leon. I just love his porngs and his price is reasonable. When the time comes, i think I will be able to talk to him to get the exact ring I want. I think a solitaire will be fun b/c you can stack anniversary bands to always change the look, but its still classy.

Leon, without a doubt.

Thing 2 of 2 is one cool happening WISE cat. Ditto. §

Leon, love his work.

I''d go with Leon too.

I think Leon is known as one of the best in the business for diamond settings. The price doesn''t sound too high either so I would go with him. I had him quote a Setting that I wanted re-created and it was more than double than all my other quotes.

I''m going to be the dissenting vote. For a simple solitaire, I would go with the D Vatche. I''m not saying I don''t like Leon''s work, but I''m not that over the top excited about his solitaires -- I think his pave and really detailed work is where he stands out. Now, if I had my heart set on a custom solitaire, I would go with Mark Morell if I could get him to do the work, and it might very well be worth it. His solitaires are magnificent, and that is really where HE shines.

Mark Morrell may be a good option for custom work. Do you know what the ballpark figure would be for one of his solitaires? Maybe I will contact him after the holidays.

hi mintve - check out mark''s site mwmjewelry.com

if you go with his sunburst or flame setting he gives general pricing on there. i think $1600 - $1800. if you want custom you would have to speak with him.

Thanks Rainydaze. I will contact him after the holidays and I will look into some of his work here on PS. It seems the possibilities are endless!
