D Color with Strong Fluorescence

I personally can't see any blue in those pictures - although one must note that the camera can lie and screens can lie, so it is hard to get exact copies of what one is seeing!

Really? What do you see?

From what I can see (although I've only had a quick look) it just looks totally colourless!

That's just me, many miles away and behind a screen, though, so your eyes must be the deciding factor in the end :)

I am not the trained eye of others but I thought I did see a very subtle light blue in the sunlight compared to indoor/shade videos. I played them side by side, maybe I was just looking for it but sure seems like I saw it and thought the videos were cool in comparison and going from shade to light in the one video. I personally love the look and looks icy white in indoor video and beautiful outdoors. This is just coming from an admirer and I enjoyed the videos.

I have a D-color with very strong blue fluorescence and I love it! My diamond glows a definite blue-violet in the California sunshine. I can see a similar color in the videos of your stone in sunlight, but it’s much more subtle glow than in mine.
I think it’s entirely personal preference as to whether you like the look. It was a win-win for me: my stone was incredibly well-priced due to the VSB fluorescence and I otherwise would not have been able to afford a “D” color in this size.

This is as blue as it gets in strong sun (same diamond, different setting)

Wow! Super cool!

There’s nothing I like more than very strong blue fluorescence or strong blue. In a D it is just stunning. I am actually sad to wear my OEC that doesn’t have it lol, and think about trading it in for that reason even though it’s such a pretty stone! I think the market got it wrong when blue fluoro wasn’t a premium. Diamonds without tend to go dark in bright sunlight while these stones glow. Win win!

here's my wife's VSB vvs2 d ring. In real life the last picture looks much less blue. The ring is actually less blue in direct sunlight than when it is in shaded outdoor sunlighting. I don't notice any milkiness in any type of lighting either.

all these photos are take under direct sunlight In California in December at 1 pm on a cloudless day. again this is a vvs2 d color with ver strong blue flourescence. It’s actually not as blue in real life the camera makes it a little bluer, but It’s a tad bit more lavender than the first picture. The third picture is pretty accurate to what the diamond actually looks like in direct sunlight. I hope this helps anyone who’s worried about vsb diamonds. They are quite nice in my opinion if it isn’t milky or dark blue in the sunlight.
