Nice diamond!

that stone you posted piqued my interest--loved the D color and it just looked so clean for an Si2. this is what the gemologist had to say about it:

"Our gemologist just provided me with some fantastic news! You have selected an excellent SI2 which will face completely eye clean - something relatively rare in diamonds of this clarity. The single feather blends perfectly into the facets and is hidden by the brilliance and fire of the crown. In addition to being eye-clean, the diamond is icy white in color, has excellent fire, brilliance, and scintillation. It'll look beautiful in any setting and you won't want to pass up on the value it offers."

The gemologist also said it was the cleanest S12 they have seen and that the feather does not pose any issue with the structural integrity, but rather, the feather blends into the natural scintillation of the diamond.

Does it look like the pink parts in the table look a lighter pink? Does that mean it will have some leakage? Also, I notice the arrows are not that thick. Does that mean it will have less fire?

It scored a 1.6, within TIC range on the HCA, with excellent for everything except for spread (which was very good).

Any thoughts and comments will be greatly appreciated!

May I ask how much they want for it?

Hi - I have a James Allen D color Si2 0.52 ctw diamond, set in a pendant. I wrote about it and posted a bunch of pics on the Show me the Bling forum. I would paste the link in here, but it won't let me. So, I have just bumped that thread to the top. If you look at SMTB, you will see a post entitled "James Allen D-Color Bezel Diamond Pendant".

It is truly beautiful. More details in my post.

I just thought you might be interested to see it, since the specs are pretty similar and it's the same company. Oh - it's also a Hearts and Arrows.

Great stone find :)

The F i purchased I took to my jewelry consultant today and she was amazed as it, and that in itself was an endorsement beyond words. If that isnt everything you're hoping after getting it and seeing it you can return it and only be out a few bucks. The F is so icy white its not funny, and I bet the D will be even whiter! Give it a shot thats alot of good looking D color for a reasonable price IMHO

Hi,
James Allen's PS discount came out to $1790. I saw that BC Jewels had the same stone for 1704 (bank wire price). I really wanted to see if ID jewelry can call it in for me and perhaps also match the lowest price. I really wanted to work with ID jewelry because of all the great reviews on here and I wanted to feel them out because I will have a few upcoming jewelry projects. BUT then I have this crazy work schedule and JA is more convenient for me because of their 24 hour availability, so I ended up just having them source it for me. So far, I am please with their service.

Are the specs of this stone something that you were looking for?

I am so happy you found the perfect one for yourself!! :appl:

You know what though? I wasn't even in the market for this stone, but having stumbled upon your posting, curiosity got the better of me. I just couldn't believe an S12 could look like that. And now, I guess I'll have to really see for myself.

Nope, JA has all the details, just no price since it was held/purchased/whatever. I was just curious.

Congrats!!!
