Kenny -- I''m not sure if you''ve visited the owl box since posting about it here, but I''ve been sort of a regular there. I was amazed to see the parenting instinct in action -- the owl parents gradually at first caring for the owlets, then gradually expanding their little world until they could fly and then leave the box for good. Today only two owlets slept in the box... the others seem to have left for good. Bittersweet...
Wow! That is amazing! Animal senses are so strong and reliable. The chetah must haved sensed that the baboon was an infant and needed her. Astounding! Very touching to see.
Steve Hartman is my MOSTEST Favorite reporter EVA. He has such a tender heart to find the best most moving pieces. He had this shtick he did, where he randomly chose a person from the paper phone book. (hard to do now with cell phone non publishing''s) any way he was determined to show that as mundane as life is to most, everyone, he means everyone has a story to tell. A story worthy of national coverage-that could trump all the bad headlines.
Never failed in intrigue and does so with such whit. His delivery is spot on and well, I just puffy heart any piece he does. This story just enforces my Hartman crush even more!
The babies were fun to watch too! Makes me wish I was a mother so I would know what all the Mommies feel like. Waaaa! Waaaa!
You moms rock, even though this is not mother''s day, you ROCK!
